FAQ

Where do you get your materials from?

Ssssh, it’s a secret! We can’t let you into our inner circle, but we can tell you that all our products are sourced and made in the UK. We pride ourselves on boasting some of the most sought after vintage jewellery in London, we visit antique fairs and markets to find you the most elegant defining pieces there are!

How do I look after my Malaya Jewellery?

We at Malaya Jewellery love the vintage ascetic of the pieces we produce. What we love more is talking to our friends (you lovely people) who have brought our Jewellery and still wear it with pride until you invest in our new handmade trinkets.

So, with that in mind we have come up with practical solutions to help you get the most out of you jewels whilst preserving the character of our Vintage and Diffusion collections for longer.

  • Jewellery can be fragile so always try to keep your jewels in a safe place when not being worn. We recommend placing Malaya Jewellery in velvet lined box or velvet pouch (or acid free tissue).
  • Remove rings and bracelets when doing ‘heavy duty’ activities, and when applying perfumes, creams lotions and hair sprays or other chemicals - put your spritzers on first!
  • Do not shower, swim in the sea or sleep in your jewellery (if you can help it!).
  • If your jewels begin to lose their shine, we suggest applying Brasso. Apply a little and with a clean cloth rub your Jewels in circular motions.

How much is post and packaging?

We charge £2 for shipping in the UK and £5 for international shipping. This covers the Royal Mail charge to us and the time and care we’ve taken to get your jewellery to you.

What If I'm not home when my package arrives?

Because the jewels we send you are precious we send all jewellery by recorded delivery. Someone therefore has to be in to sign; Malaya does not accept responsibility for unsigned items or to repost returned parcels.
